This past week I had a chance to enter a #mumstory contest on Wryttr, a new short story publishing platform, entitled “Superwoman’s Apprentice”. The challenge was simple: Write a story, not just a statement about your mother, oh, and make it only 149 words. Okay, I’ll admit it. Maybe it wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be, but after a few aggressive moments at my computer and several naps to clear my head, I got it.
But let me tell you getting this moment into 149 words was so hard! There were so many other details I wanted to put in the story but I think you will still be able to “feel” the message. Go check it out and let me know what you think.
